Rubik's Cube

I would never have been able to by myself. I read guides, remembered algorithms and combined them to make my own method
alma_eterna

I've only messed with them and I haven't done one in a while. I could always do 1 side and after poking around with them I figured out how to do 2 sides and then 3 but if I remember correctly I couldn't get more than that.

I might try looking into some of these systems because I didn't exactly have one which may have been my problem.

I used this website for the most part: http://jeays.net/rubiks.htm#sol1

Using websites is cheating! Figure it out on your own, like I did!

Nah, I'm just kidding. I'm not that elitist about it. But I did solve it on my own. I can't do it particularly fast (like I said earlier, my fastest is 1'56"), but I do take a bit of pride in the fact that I didn't cheat.

So then, no career as a trained monkey for you! Innocent

Did you know?...

The record for solving a rubiks cube (regulation size) is just over 8 seconds and Someone just built a Robot that solves Rubiks cubes in under 30 seconds!!

HurricaneIsaac

Onbe easy way to solve it is to peel off the stickers* and rearange them correctly.

*(permitting you have the kind with stickers on it.)

mercytononeZ
my friend can do it in roughly a minute
chessdevil

You can actually download a program for FREE that actually helps you to solve with the fastest way. First you put in the colou according to yours and it will show you the steps one by one!

I use the layers method, too. My best is 1'56", but it was using a regular cube, not a speed cube. I know I could learn new methods that would speed up my time, but I'm rather proud of the fact that I've taught myself everything I know how to do.

What's with all the blank space, Maurissius?

I use CFOP and average around 45secs but if you are a beginner then only learn beginners CFOP because if you learn advanced CFOP you’ll need to learn around 100algs. However, start by learning the layer by layer method first.
