Because you have to, or is it a personal choice?

I searched for the term 'Sanskrit' because I was bored.

The study of languages is a hobby of mine ... and Sanskrit can be considered the great-grandmother of all Indo-European languages. But actively learning it, as OP suggests? And calling it the 'most beautiful language' out of an obvious national bias? That's a bit much.

Beauty is subjective ... and do you know every dead and alive language so well that you're in the position to make such a bold statement?

And tell me some reasons why it is really the 'best' language ... best in which aspects?
