At first, I expected this was something about the Catalan opening. Very sneaky.
Settlers of Catan anyone?

Played a game with Jay last night. Got my ass kicked, haven't had good luck lately (and ocassionally made a few mistakes ) I've fallen from a 150 rating to below 100. Not sure how they calculate the ratings there but the midpoint is zero, above means you win more than you lose (or win against strong players), below the reverse.

Yeah, Cities & Knights spoils one for regular Settlers.
I've also played the rare Settlers of the Stone Age which was actually quite good.

Won four in a row & up to my highest rating of 192 (in Cities & Knights). Ranked 148th out of 30,000 or so.
(that's for the month of January, ratings get reset at the end of every month but you also get a yearly score)
Meanwhile been procrastinating my chess games but I'm way too tired to play chess tonight.
My fave board game besides chess. Just found this site and have been hanging there when not busy or chessing. At a meetup in NYC I recently learned Cities & Knights of Catan which is even awesomer. It's a good counterpart to chess because there's some luck involved (giving you a nice break from 100% responsibility for the outcome) but plenty of skill too.
