I guess I've been doing that my whole life - never owned a pair of Nikes...

You sound like an Asics kind of person. I've had a couple of pairs. Very comfortable shoes.

My shoe brand loyalty is a deeply held secret. I wouldn't want to start a fad that causes a shortage of the brand I love...

I get it. you're a New Balance man. Also great comfortable shoes.

A few years ago a lot of people were calling for and organizing Nike boycotts because of sweatshop conditions, child labor and even slave/prison labor at their workshops. Nike took great pains to correct a lot of these abuses and now there are calls to boycott them because they are too "politically correct"?

Sometimes you just can't win.

Hate wearing socks - it's hot and humid here. I'd run in my sandals too but the straps don't seem to be made for that .

I might have owned a pair of Nikes back in the '80s. I'm not sure. I never really had a preference until I tried a pair of Keens. Whatever last they use fits my foot perfectly. Plus, their mostly leather uppers and somewhat wrap-around rubber sole make them very water resistant and able to handle brush well. I put them through stuff and they take it well.
Are Keens woke? Should I hate them? Do I have to make a sign?
