So, how many of you were duped by the Evelyn-hailey1998 troll?

Not me! 'Bishop e3' had her /his measure a long time ago!
Yes, many ' girls ' here may not be quite what they seem.

Correcto! Give this wise man a nice bottle of Bordeaux

As far as I know you haven't tried to pass yourself off as a 19 year old, blonde, with fashion model looks.

i wasn't fooled didn't join her clubs i don't accept invites and thank you for your information about "her"

hey jamie, how did you suspect this?
Bishop_e3 and I keep track of the trolls. We have for years. In the past we have had hookers creating accounts on site in hopes of luring "suckers" into pay-for-chat sexting
A few of them were even famous, with their own .com sites.
How pathetic is it to have to find brain-addled, horny guys, on a chess site???

Just another typical stunt of the guy known by a number and letter. Is it amusing or sad how so many are easily duped? Then again, a large percentage of his followers were very much aware, lending open support to the rating manipulation scam.
The accounts Jamie were not meant to attract "suckers", boys/men interested in a nefarious relationship, or that of someone simply pretending to be someone else. The scam, involved multi-accounting on a large scale with games played between friends, was meant to manipulate ratings, an attempt to make a mockery of the rating system and thumb a finger at Cc.
What readily appears on the surface is seldom the bottom line for someone so skilled at deception. You yourself were unawares of the rating manipulation that was taking place and attributed the account as being the usual "young girl imitation" ,allowing yourself to get worked up over ... "brain-addled, horny guys, on a chess site". Did you create this thread just to get in this Shot at men ?
@MustangMate : 'You yourself were unawares of the rating manipulation...' HARDLY! Jamie had been apprised of THAT PART of the problem for WELL OVER A YEAR now!!
How do I know this? WE were discussing this avatar and the WHOLE situation OVER 1 year ago now.
Being AWARE of potential ratings' scams and finding ENOUGH PROOF thereof for Chesscom Staff ACTION are not the same thing, as you should well know by now from your time at Cheat Forum.

If Jaime was aware of the rating scam, she made no mention of it here. The only issue raised was that of impersonation. reacting to "brain-addled, horny guys" who were duped into believing the account was that of a teen-aged girl. The major issue was the fraud perpetuated on ratings, and not the usual impersonation that is seen. The rating scam was not just a part of the problem, it was the main issue, as it violates fair play policy. A part of the problem was the impersonation, but this did not necessarily violate any rules.

A beginning reference is made to "the place is crawling with people like her".
Perhaps crawling with members representing themselves as someone they are not, but the sophistication of such scams is accomplished by very few individuals.

At it's start, recognizing the account for what was was easy enough. The perpetrator leaves his unique fingerprints.
The impersonation, whether it be the intros with 'attractive female' come-on and/or high 'rated' chess 'talent' (@evelyn-hailey1998 'used' both), too many times, is part and parcel of an 'eventual' FPV situation. The success of the first approach, so many times in the Chesscom club side of the site, NOT leading to FPV later 'scams' situations, sure lends itself as a tool for the various ETHICAL concerns of most club side oriented members,
Chesscom Staff usually do NOT get involved in those various club side oriented ethical issues, but many (but perhaps not nearly enough) of us do take it seriously.
Chesscom rules RIGHTLY limit what can be posted about 'potential' problem members, when they are first detected by some here, but it doesn't mean that those same some aren't aware of the threat(s), whether FPV type or just club ETHICAL type.
@MustangMate : Not throwing shade (am well acquainted with you from Cheat Forum (CF) posting) but notice you're not really that long a Chesscom member (at least under this account) and only on 2 teams (not including CF), so how is it 'recognizing the account for what it was...', I mean back in late Winter/early Spring 2018, like some of us did THEN, was easy enough for you?

My focus these days are on engine users, rather than trolls.
I use to blog extensively about the busted trolls. It is more fun catching the real sewer rats. There are some team administrators, like Greg, who are genuinely interested in running clean teams in clean competitions. Maybe we are a dying breed.
A whole bunch of you, I wager. She was on hundreds of teams and had thousands of "friends," not to mention skads of duplicate accounts.
A simple reverse image search would have tipped you it was a stolen image "she" was using.
Trust no one. This place is crawling with people like "her."
My question to staff is, "What took so long?"
