Say it taint so.

Greenwald:  "Mueller’s report didn’t just reject the Trump-Russia conspiracy theories, it obliterated them.  ...

That should put the whole collusion narrative to bed, but of course it hasn’t. After two years of what can fairly be described as mass hysteria afflicting a huge portion of our political class, the cognitive dissonance is painful. It would be amusing to watch, if the “broken brains” weren’t so widespread among the people who are supposed to be the sober managers and reporters of our society."

DrSpudnik:  "When huge numbers of people believe and act on total conspiracy theory garbage, I don't know what else to call them."

Breaking news! Trump lackey declares Trump is totally innocent!

Meanwhile in the real world:

“If we had had confidence that the president clearly did not commit a crime, we would have said so” -- Mueller

charging President Donald Trump with a crime was “not an option” because of federal rules said Mueller.

And remember, part of why Mueller even held such a press conference is because all the lackeys were distorting the truth... weasels like Bill Barr releasing a heavily redacted and misleading Mueller report.

So it would be interesting to know the timing of Greenwald's statement.

All a con artist needs to do is give people and excuse.

You know, one day Trump is saying he's better than Obama on the border because he's so tough (separating families and such). The next day he's saying he's better than Obama on the border because it was Obama who separated kids first, and Trump isn't so heartless.

One day he says he trusts Putin over the US government and the next he's saying he's harder on Putin and Russia than anyone.

One day he says China's handling of the virus was great and transparent, the next he's saying they're to blame and they lack transparency.

And this is just from memory.

Give him enough time, and he says everything and anything. The words are totally vacuous to being with, but people who are only paying enough attention to be able to fool themselves always have something to latch on to.

I recall other moments like this but can't remember the specifics... maybe something about losing the popular vote in 2016?

He accidentally says it because he's old and a bit daft (this is what I believe) but after the press blows it out of proportion he comes back with "I 100% won, I won bigger than anyone has ever won anything ever and the media is twisting my words as they always do!"

I'm completely with you Llama but he'll never see the light of day. He's gonna be buried in lawsuits for yrs to come.

In June 2016, USA Today published an analysis of litigation involving Donald Trump, which found that over the previous three decades Trump and his businesses have been involved in 3,500 legal cases in U.S. federal and state courts, an unprecedented number for a U.S. presidential candidate.

How he made it with such baggage, when Gary Hart got scuttled for having a gal other than his wife on his knee is quite amazing.

llama47

So it's one of those hiding in plain site things.

He brags about assaulting women, he brags about sex parties, he divorces one trophy wife to marry another...

... but then when accused of actually living the life he says he does, and we see he does, he denies it. Without any reason to give him the benefit of the doubt, his fans believe him.

---

Same with being a criminal. He brags about paying no taxes. We see he has a history of not paying his debts. We see he's involved in thousands of lawsuits. Then when he's charged with a crime, he denies it. Without any reason to give him the benefit of the doubt, his fans believe him.
