What can you score on this visual memory test? (on the first try)

I scored 11 and also can't score any higher than 11, and my rating is close 1000 and I've never been able to pass 1000.  I would think higher rated players will score higher on this test.

=( You should have written it down

I got 10... so so much for higher rated players scoring better.

But thanks for the link to the website. It looks pretty neat. I'll spend some time exploring it.

Oh, so there isn't really that much on the site, just 4 tests.

I was average to below average on the other ones, but I did pretty well in the number memorization:

Wow that number memorization score is crazy.

I think the scores are skewed towards the upper end of the population because people who are already good take them mostly or people who are good try to beat their scores.

Reaction time can have a-lot to do with internet latency and mouse latency I think...Theres like 100ms difference between my phone and computer on that 1

I'm not surprised that my reaction score was below average though. Internet is definitely an issue, but in my case I think it probably worked in my advantage.

Also, the verbal memory one seems to really depend on what words you get. The other three tests I only did once, but I tried the verbal 8 or 9 times. The first time I got 20, and for all but 2 tries after that I got between 16 and 20. The two exceptions were a 25... and a 63. So yeah... a ton of variance there.

Took each test twice. Only improved my score on the reaction and visual memory.

On number memory both times I failed due to typo on 11, but that was pretty much my limit anyway.

This is a silly chess.com account where I played some joke games. If you want to know my blitz rating it's peaked over 2100 on this site.

How do you memorize the numbers? Just curious.

I can get about 7 verbally (I say them out loud a few times) then I stare at the last 4 or 5 and just sort of memorize what it looks like. So I'm mixing methods because I'm pretty bad with just one alone. I got 12 just now, I think that's my limit unless I got lucky and there's something like 5555 in the middle haha.

I knew a guy who could do tons like you did (you said "pretty well" but I think 16 is pretty amazing). He said he memorized them in groups of 3 and that it was pretty easy for him. So where I might see 412 as 3 numbers I guess he only saw it as 1.

Oh, you can pretty much cheat on the reaction time because there's no penalty for clicking early. I got under 100ms on one try because I just guessed when it would turn green tongue.png

Also the verbal memory one seems hard if you did it over and over, because you will remember words from previous attempts.

To be honest,Im a 8th grader in honors class and my first time trying this verbal memory test in human benchmark i made a 72 as my max first time.I don't have any evidence since, it was on a other computer and each time i sign out, everything gets reset such as data and history.

tistime

I got 18 first try.

yeebruh21

I got 19, I've always been good at this particular test

I can pretty much go infinitely on sequence memory and verbal memory. The most I've actually gotten is like 100 for sequence and 400 for verbal.

Nice. You can take a picture of your screen.

I got 67 sequence and 556 verbal. I've never impressed anyone with my memory however.
