Here is a link to the 72-question test.  Takes just a few minutes.

I was INTJ - "Mastermind" on the Kiersey Temperament Sorter

Sterling_Boirelle

Also INTJ. Its been years since the last time I took that test and its still says the same thing.

You know maybe its all the spam on this site but I think superstitious nonsence such as astrology could be reduced by raising awarness about the MBTI. The assumption is people look to astrology, psychics and the like to help define themselves in some small way.

Myers-Briggs is an interesting method, using probing questions, to highlight facets of our personality.

I am ESFJ.....

Annabella ...

The Caregiver

As an ESFJ, your primary mode of living is focused externally, where you deal with things according to how you feel about them, or how they fit in with your personal value system. Your secondary mode is internal, where you take things in via your five senses in a literal, concrete fashion.

ESFJs are people persons - they love people. They are warmly interested in others. They use their Sensing and Judging characteristics to gather specific, detailed information about others, and turn this information into supportive judgments. They want to like people, and have a special skill at bringing out the best in others. They are extremely good at reading others, and understanding their point of view. The ESFJ's strong desire to be liked and for everything to be pleasant makes them highly supportive of others. People like to be around ESFJs, because the ESFJ has a special gift of invariably making people feel good about themselves.

The last part is sooooo true. :-)

I can't do it. The questions can't be answered "yes" or "no". I don't watch TV soaps. I'm never late for appointments with certain people or places, but I'm always late for other people and places. "It's difficult to get me excited"??? About what? Et cetera.

How on earth do you answer these questions?!!Laughing

JamieDelarosa

You go with your first instinct.  They are somewhat generalized, and necessarily so.  We are looking for tendencies.

But your question already tell me something about you.  I would be interested to see what shows up if you complete the test.

trysts

But my first instinct is to fail to answer the questions!Laughing

"You trust reason rather than feelings"-- About what?!

"It is in your nature to assume responsibility"--Assuming responsibilty has nothing to do with nature. It's nurture. Why would they say "nature"?

DiogenesDue

I am an INTJ or INTP; it changes back and forth over the years.  The N and T are always pegged off the charts, though.

By the way, the accompanying descriptions on the linked site are not "official" at all.  They are kind of like an astrologer writing an astronomy report...people are always trying to turn Myers-Briggs into things it is not.  You'll notice that the Wikipedia entry has none of these descriptions...

trysts

"You value justice higher than mercy"-- Who or what is the subject? What is meant by "mercy"? This is why I'm so uselessLaughing

trysts

How are y'all answering the questions? Aren't you just creating a "you" to answer? Are you making up yourselves?

There are a couple of personality types that tend to question the validity of the test, or going with their "gut" feelings.  They are rational thinkers, for the most part, and are uncomfortable with ambiguity.

Most of the questions have an immediate answer, for me.  Those that don't I just go with my gut on.  Don't spend more than 15 seconds on any question...you'll get the most accurate answer, because you won't have time to "make up yourself".  Don't answer with what you aspire to be, either, answer with what you are/how you behave.

For example, I value both justice and mercy, but I have to have justice as an absolute...mercy is optional, and a kindness to impart once justice has been met.  Also, I save mercy for those without malice.

Yeah, that kind is better...it is still definitive, but it hides the fact that you are answering polarized questions ;).

What if you just answer "c" to all the questions as i use to do on my aptitude tests in school?
