I mean, your IQ doesn't define your chess skillz. Einstein had high IQ, but he can't beat even FMs I bet
IQ alone doesn't seem to define your chess skills but I'd bet there's few if any top GMs that are "thick", even if some do a good impression.

If you judged my IQ by puzzles I would be in the top 10 per cent (and so would all of you).
If you judged IQ by putting up a shelf or fixing a bicycle puncture I would be pitiful.
Yeah same here, there's different types of intelligence, I'm very good at puzzles ( and shelves and punctures ) but stupid in other things, but Heather, I still haven't worked out how we can all be in the top 10% for puzzles?? lol.
