Why are people so sensitive over after game trash talk?

Seems like many people get butthurt over simple roasts. Don't get it

Its because your being mean to children, maybe you shouldn’t do that

Gotta teach kids how things are on the internet early on. Maybe I have gone overboard sometimes and I mean to change my ways from now on. Still feel like you should not get blocked by simply saying stuff like "scared to rematch?", "would beat you 10-0 in rapid", "only wins on time and cannot play otherwise".

Why is it necessary to say those things anyway 🤷‍♂️…..it isn’t is it ! 😤

It's only that way on the internet and you are logged on. When I am on the way of the internet is a polite "GG!"

Usually you would like to rematch after a close game or simply an easy mistake that lost you the game and same goes the other way around. Saying those words is just the way I have learned to do things on the internet. I think it's even less unsportsmanlike to just laugh at your opponent for their mistakes and run away.

I don't know... But we live in free world.

My decent opinion... People should not be punished for those innocent words and phrases.

Political correctness should have its limits.

Ah yes, the after-game-trash-talk.

One time kid trash-talked me after a game; to this day it's my favorite.  As soon as he won he said "sauce" then immediately logged off.  I thought that was pretty good.  Such delivery.

And what does his word mean in this context ?

korotky_trinity

ketchup? ))

I think it's common knowledge to accept a rematch if you talk trash about someone after a win. What do people gain from talking trash and running right after? Trash talk is supposed to be a internet "gaming" stable that is two sided and not that serious.

Because people are supposed to be "nice" all the time! What? someone's being MEAN? No, that can't be!-

Sauce...I think comes from the saying "weak sauce"...it.means you suck.

More like hot sauce!  It's something some of the hipsters are saying these days.  It can mean that something is good or great. In this case, he was stating that he had a great victory (as opposed to my shameful defeat). He was "rubbing it in" so to speak.

Ok.

Now I understand.

At first I thought that he insulted you.

Oh, he was definitely insulting me.

It was glorious.

Honestly, I thought it was pretty random. I would totally say something completely random like “grass” or “box” and leave just to mess with their heads.

You can't just roast people after games you win if you don't know them! There's no reason they should think you're joking if they can't hear your tone. Did you forget you're typing? You also forget that many players on this website are either sensitive little kids or middle aged people who aren't really exposed to "roasts."

Some kid showed up at chess club and started his online smack.  Being rude to people he doesn't and has never met.   He left and wont be back.
