Video game chess players? Anyone?

I played Civ 4&5 a lot when I still had a computer. Or Distant Worlds 2, which is a RTS empire building game, too, but on a galactic scale. That one remains my all-time favorite, as you can self-insert into ANY character zipping through the stars while space itself feels absolutely massive! Whether it be the leader of your civilization controlling everything, a space pirate, a fleet captain, a planetary govenor or just a humble freight driver delivering essential resources to keep the machine of your empire running, you truly feel like a god of a massive anthill. And it's easily moddable too, so you can add your own sci-fi races, modify the tech tree, adjust how each of the pre-set races act, change how objects (like stars, planets, ships, the map background) look and probably some other things I'm forgetting right now. 

And they're working on a sequel, too. But after considering all I just said, I find Chess even more captivating.
