ONE chess.com chrome tab reports 2GB RAM and 200% (!) CPU utilization on a an i9 CPU. If people are saying this is the fault of ads, that means chess.com lets advertisers run unverified javascript. What?!? Just what I need. It's one thing to have ads displayed. It's another to turn my browser over for mining bitcoin. I can't even limit the CPU on the tab, because chess.com doesn't sandbox the damn ads.
This behavior is repeatable and unusable. I'll check back in a month and see if you've fixed the problem. Fix the problem or no one will see any of your ads, because all your ad-viewing visitors will be gone.
Well, the thing is that your i9 probably has 8 or more cores and the % utilization is in relation to one core.
And you probably have a lot more than 2GB of ram, perhaps as much as 128GB.
