Better themes?

Are there any plans for more theme designs? As streaming chess on Chess.com is increasing in popularity, it would be preferable to have themes that are functional and fit thematically with the streamer's overlays. But I find there are only a few 'usable' themes, the rest are too extreme for me. Is there any way to submit themes or could a contest be held to design some more? I'd love to be able to contribute. Currently I think only the background image is customizable, not the board colors or pieces (except through third-party plugins.)
