You are just playing too slowly. I can sympathize. I do the same thing.

It wouldn't matter if the clock were the size of Big Ben.

I was interested to look at your game to see what happened. About move 29, you found yourself up by two pawns with only a minute left.  Naturally, you wanted to find the way to convert your advantage.

Within a few moves, most of your minute was gone.

1. git good. 2. get glasses. I can see the clock just fine. complaining won't help your chess score.

Dude, your blitz rating is 600, I doubt you can see the board at all.

lol it's so funny that when people ask this (and there are a lot of threads about that) others answers : "you're too slow, you're not good enough, blablabla..." instead of saying "no you can't..."

a guy here went to the trouble to analyze the guy's games....
Can't you just admit some people want the clock to be bigger ??

Look at lichess, that's a great clock ! would it be so complicated to make the one here bigger ??

Andrei_MG

Yeah man, with all the options and ways of personalizing chess.com I am very surprised that they still have not managed to implement 2 styles for the clock sad.png

BalaamsDonkey

I agree the clocks are too small. Therefore I will no longer play on chess.com. Lichess is much better, anyway. No ads. Ever. Totally free. Forever. Bye.

Hey. Same problem here. I have visual difficulties and clocks on this website are pretty small tbh. Nothing wrong with that except we should be able to resize it. As a premium member, I feel like (and I hope that) my feedback does matter. Do not disregard this feature, it actually is very important.

ThrillerFan

Maybe PlayLikeTal needs a bigger monitor!  Maybe project it onto your 70 inch TV.  That should make the clock big enough!

Guys and size...

pablocard

I really thing this is right. We need a bigger clock, or an alarm in the last 5 seconds, something to be aware of the time. We play in an screen, not in the real world, it makes it different.

defstunz

Lol i'm still amazed at all the trolling, it's just users who ask for a feature on a paying website and the trolls are just responding like if god almighty himself made the clock so small on chess.com and that it's untouchable...

Kingsclasher

Or atleast a alarm when hitting the one min mark. Clock could go red like on liichess for example. On mobile it's even worse since the clock is easily being covered by you right thumb which use to move pieces. It's pretty annoying. Oh and to the guys replying to get faster etc, get a life you Sweatlords

I'm coming from Lichess with it's big beautiful clock and it has been a nightmare to try to keep up with the small clock on chess.com.

Thus, I decided to find a solution and it took me half an hour to a script with 37 lines of Javascript to make the clock bigger and move it the the right of the board.

The script can simple be copied into the Developer Tools in the browser and run once, and the clock will stay like this for multiple games after each other.

However, I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post any Javascript code in the forums? So I'm not sure how to go about it if others want to use it.

But just look at these big beautiful clocks!

I've been using the chrome extension "stylish" and i've been playing around with this one

https://userstyles.org/styles/271814#

Here are a few things you can play with in the editor

font-size:

color:

and opacity: (when its not your turn)

I'm sure you could do anything with this if you know some css

DontBeScaredHomie0

Thanks bro.
And everyone else in this thread, there are some beautiful clocks/layouts
I came across this thread Googling if I was the only one.
I send a support ticket to Chess.com just in case to check if using these kinds of scripts would be allowed and could potentially flag me.
Their reply:

"First off, thank you for bringing this up! I've just escalated your concern regarding the clock side to our Product team. Perhaps, we can add a feature to Chess.com that allows users to change their clock sizes - who knows?

Secondly: Yes! It's okay to use an extension to increase the side of your clock or even change visual things on your end like the color of pieces, the board, etc."

ChessAce1111

But can someone increase clock size, move it to the right , and share me the code, because I don't know the language.

benbilman

@chessace1111 I switched to tamped monkey recently because stylish had some security concerns. Had chatgpt help me build a script I'd recommend that method if you're not great with Js and Css. Great to hear it's allowed! @DontBeScaredHomie0
