Chess Insights

Just wanted to give a big thumbs up to the new "Chess Insights".

Hopefully this is something you will add even more too.

Agreed, very cool. Any idea of how to refresh them to include one's latest games played? 

New games are automatically added after they are played.

Martin is correct that new games are added automatically after they are completed (usually within seconds). If you notice a problem or suspect that some game is not being included, please let us know!

(Note: if a game has less than 10 moves, it doesn't get included in Insights.)

I think this is a great feature, that got me interesting insights.

Over a period I played against a lot of bots on chess.com. Result for that period is that the analysis thinks my accuracy in the opening is low when compared to my peers (especially around move 10), since the computer plays more challenging and tricky moves in the opening (Jonas comes to mind, to which I regularly struggle in the opening). And it says my accuracy steadily increases to a quite high level (compared to my peers) towards the endgame. Typical analysis from an engine, since engines are stronger in the opening and weaker in the endgame.

When playing against another person my profile is actually very similar to that of others, except that my opening is played a little better than that of my peers (probably from hard lessons learned by playing engines). Endgames are same as that of my peers.

So it turns out that the engine evaluates my play differently when I'm playing against people or against computer.

BTW: An added feature I would like to have added is a filter on openings.

I am trying to answer a couple of members who are wondering why their Insights haven't been updating.

I haven't had any games added to my insights since May 2022. I've played 7,000 games this week. Is there a way to refresh this?

If you previously had Diamond and Insights, later expired, and upgraded again later, it can take a while for results to show. Insights are only calculated while member has Diamond.

If you recently upgraded, give it at least 24 hours to see if it kicks off. If not, reply here.
