Different time setting as handicap

Especially for games with rl friends or family you often dont have similar strength. Different time control in my opinion is very essential and should not be missing in the handicap options.
In the olden days better players gave a handicap to weaker players by removing a piece. . .
Removing a white knight or a rook, i've seen games where the Queen was removed. Of course blindfold fold champions could play without seen the pieces.
Giving time is not good because the better player will still win.
By the way with my family when i play them we play Card Chance Chess. The chances of a weaker player winning is great! . ..
