Just joined this site and linked a game analysis to my friends because I was really proud of it. I think it would be much better if there was a Discord embed that was functional to play the moves out with the forward and backward button in the Discord client.

I don't know anyone in my personal life that plays chess, so yeah, my friends who don't play chess. Not sure why that matters though.

It matters because it's probably a fair amount of trouble for chess.com with little or no potential benefit.
I suppose I can't speak to the amount of work it would be to create. But I disagree that there would be no payoff. Accessibility to chess (not necessarily through playing, but also viewing) is the most important element in drumming up interest from new people. If I could insert a chess game into a Discord chat, as easily as I could insert it into this forums thread, it would make sharing games and moments much easier. And I could very easily see it create interest in my own friend group. The more convenient something is, the more willing people will be to give it a look.
I just noticed my discord doesnt say when im playing chess. but discord displays when i play just about any other game

I am most DEFINITELY late... but there is an app called PreMiD, which shows rich statuses of certain sites you visit, such as YouTube and Twitch. Chess.com is also offered as a rich presence.
