Error code: STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION

Each time a game ends, I get this error code. I'm using microsoft edge canary, so perhaps that is the issue.

Well, why do you think it is owed to the edge browser? Have you tried another?

I have

Error code: STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION

using Version 109.0.1518.61 (Official build) (64-bit)

but do not have this issue when using Opera.

this has started recently and don't know how to resolve this issue. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Cheers

Same issue here. I reset the settings for MS Edge. I am still getting the same error.

Only at chess.com using MS Edge ( maybe it is a bug on the site)

Very frustrating when you keep getting cut off in the middle of a game.

Try clearing your browser cache.

@Martin_Stahl - thank you for your reply.

I cleared the Cache (settings -> Privacy, search & services -> "choose what to clear" -> Cached images & files) unfortunately it has made no difference. I still have the same issue

I just stopped using MS Edge for chess.com, It looks  like browser and site specific (chess.com on MS Edge) . I don't get the error with Firefox or Opera.

Since the update to V110.0.1587.63 the issue has gone. Refresh is very slow thus. Opera seems to perform better.

Here to bump! Had this issue in the middle of a match while using Chrome. Refreshed the page and it didn't show back up. Maybe it was a one off thing for me but it hasn't happened before.

This has been happening for me sporadically the last 3-4 weeks. It just happened again now immediately after I finished game 118771772837.
OS Name Microsoft Windows 10 Pro

am getting the same on 14/02/2025 and have been experiencing this for the past 1.5 months - makes it pointless playing games if you can't see what you did wrong

Where exactly are you getting that?

ErraticPlay

Me too! Same thing.. .started about 3 weeks ago and happens during the games... I need to refresh but I already lost 5 to 10 seconds in a 1 minute game which is pretty much fatal.

What's your browser and browser version? Do you have any plug-ins or add-ons that could be interfering with the code?

Have you tried a different browser?

Chrome, most up-to-date version

Tried Edge, wasn't the same error but it crashed as well.

I tested it without extensions and in incognito.
