Frozen Timer

I have had a few issues today where both timers are frozen during the other person’s turn.. I can’t tell what’s going on. I have to offer a draw to get some type of reaction...
Last time I did it, my timer suddenly changed to very low and the other player’s started finally moving. I had to resign because I couldn’t tell what was happening or whose turn. This isn’t the first time something like this has happened lately. I only play on my phone. I’m getting frustrated because I’m unable to report the bug.

I had a similar thing. It looked like it was there other players turn, neither clocked moved, then it said I lost on time.

Exactly the same thing just happened to me. I was well ahead in a game, made my move, both clocks froze, then 4mins later I lost on time. I guess I will try the “offer draw” trick next time.

Same thing is happening to me. This bug appears to be being reported in a number of threads because the players are unsure what is happening.

Y time is frozen? Some people may be using a new type of cheat by stalling or halting a game

Same here. Both timers are grayed out and I cannot move. Fortunately both opponents have allowed for a draw. Although I was in an advantaged position both times so don’t know what’s going on. Prob need to fix this.

Yet another forum with time problem reports, the complaints are from users around the world and what I read here is the same reported in other forums in other languages. An old problem that has been there for years without a solution. This site is unable to correctly measure the time of an online chess game as basic and simple as that. One minute of an online clock is not one minute of a real clock. This flaw in the system makes the so much advertised fair play a dream. When are we going to have an official statement from chess.com about this? At least their comitment to solve the issue with a deadline ? Of course what I request may also be a dream since they so far do not acknowledge the problem and blame the internet supplier, the browser, the cache, the lag, the socket,  the user ... and a long long etc where you will never find chess.com's mediocre team of developers. Did I say mediocre ? yes ! Please take no offense because truth does not offend and the truth is that online chess clocks do not work correctly in this site and/or app.

im in a game right now, and it seems like the timer is frozen (for my opponent at least). it also looks like he has abandoned the game, so right now i am literally stuck here. can someone help me pls? how do i contact a staff member or somebody that can end the game?

okay nvm, i refreshed the app and went on my laptop to check. it registered the game as my win. but i scrolled through the forum, and saw a few posts about ios app freezing, so i guess it's a bug or sth

I am having the same issue, have lost so many games because the clock freezes. It’s getting to a point where I’d rather not play

There’s something wrong with the clocks and the connections. I’d like to hear from a moderator. I’ve been declared the loser by “abandonment” twice in three days even though it was showing that it was my opponent’s turn to move. I’d like those rating points back, please.

Same problem several times this month. Already reported to chess.com in the area to report a bug (you can find that under the “help” option. No answer from the tech support team, which makes the thing unacceptable.
