I completed Duolingo's November assignment. But how to get 1 month of chess.com for free?

Duolingo should provide a link to a page to redeem the offer and sign up for a one-month diamond trial membership.

Oh, don't you have to put in your credit card details for chess premium and then you get an email confirming it? I finished the mission but haven't got a link to a page.

My deception is unmeasurable, I don’t want to post my credit details :/ I completed the thing!!!

Maybe they will only give you it at the end of the month. I put down my credit card details, but haven't got it yet.

You have premium.

Oh, well I was testing if it worked but still got premium cause of the black Friday thing.

I have the old Gold membership, I was grandfathered, so I pay a lower fee, but get different perks. I understand that as long as I continue renewing that membership and not upgrading, I get to stay at the old fee (with the old perks). If I get a free month of Diamond, will I loose my grandfathered Gold membership when the month ends and I don't renew the Diamond membership?

The promotion is not available to existing premium members.

And now, what do I do with my newly acquired language skills? wink

Thanks, I understand, it makes sense. I should have read the fine print. (I'll continue learning German just for the sake of it.)

How do I claim the membership? I click on the duolingo chess match but it doesn't link me to a website? What do I do?

Finished the challenge. November is over and no promotion code from Duo! Another misleading ad from Duo. Nothing but disappointment.

My wife completed hers a couple of weeks ago and they provided the link to sign up for the one-month diamond trial here.

Did they send it you by mail or how?

Martin_Stahl

It was on the app itself I believe.

MonumentNoob

Oh, that's intresting.

My wife got the link, but then was immediately asked for credit card information. She did want the free premium, but as a matter of principle, we don't turn over credit card numbers for "free" goods/services. (Seems more ethical for the company to simply provide what was promised and then prompt for money at the end of the month.)

It's an offer for a premium trial membership.

Asking for credit card number is still one step further than finishing the challenge and getting nothing! 😅
