hey-yo, everyone, yeah, i don't mind anymore avatars or name of chess players together ourself, that should not be displayed, three dymensional chess board solves that problem, because "Real 3D" option of Chess Pieces on Chess.com makes it small and also important, however, Real 3D Chess Pieces when chosen can not Promote a Pawn to anything/nothing, is it a goof :-) or no(t) i don't know <3 i love Real 3D Chess Pieces, i can only play with that, such a nice display, and layering, suitable to myself, finally, on chess.com (i even tried promoting a pawn in Learn>Tactics(Rated) ;Promoting a Pawn in Real 3D Chess pieces does not work
have a nice dayInight , peace
Hide The Name of your opponent and Avatar. Focus Option.

This idea has come up a couple of times. Some people want more info in focus mode, some less.
I will watch this forum and see what way people lean here.

I vote for this as an option. Just the board or just board+remaining time. If it's an option it's, er, optional. And if the default was 'show everything' then it wouldn't affect anyone who doesn't like the idea. I have no idea at all what would be involved but just a 'features you'd like to remove' setting in daily chess would do me. Good idea.

I vote for option who wants to allow/disallow, hide or show user interface or name or avatar, me idea is it is option for user, i also vote for option on Chesschess.com to allow confirmation of long chess live chess games, for ourselves users, and also maybe i mean to confirm moves on 20 minute games or 30 minutes with increment; also it can (the confirmation of moves in Live Chess on Chess.com be disallowed as option when time is "remaining, less than Some number of minutes or seconds, in endgame or if outer, inner, player, when pitched, paired with much better play of chess, or triple confirmation of move, moves, that's my sweeping , like brush typing, my idea(s), i apoligize if im too much overly self-opinionated, i mean, we're all like community. ideas should be shared in chess.

Options are annoying. because then people have to find them. We would need so a way for the options to be intuitively found on the page itself. which is a bit easier said than done.

we have time, to choose chess faults and defaults, as a gaming experience online, add-ons, should "jdcannon wrote....." "tunatin wrote....." referring to you Two respect, honor to You, expressable, explicable, how to make options clickable and expressable, to each expressive they can option click, what add-ons, i don't know or even if how, i think question mark or exclamation mark is normal and common and sedated, like good game=!! or you won, but it was equal=!? and you lost , but good game=??,!! or both of those together, and other, clickable small icons or stuff, and things

That's why you have settings.
It's a common setting in general to hide avatars. So make that a general setting. Or make it a setting applicable to focus mode. Either way everybody gets what they want.
Overall it makes zero sense to show avatars in focus mode. Don't most people use this so they don't know the rating of the opponent? Well when I join a tournament I immediately see the avatars of all the players. So I get into the game and I see the avatar, because you won't let me turn it off. Feature ruined. Why ruin a feature?
I wrote an extension to hide ratings. Fortunately I don't have to use it since focus mode exists.
Please don't make me have to write one just to hide avatars.

LOL so you have something like over a dozen pages of "annoying" options then?
In any case, that's why you have sensible defaults. So only people that care will seek them out.
The sensible default for focus mode is not showing avatars.

Would prefer in-game option (Hide Rating, Hide Avatar) - affecting just the current game. Setting could be toggled on the current game board.
Would also prefer a global-games option (Hide Rating, Hide Avatar) - affecting all games. Setting could be in the global Settings section.
The in-game-option would allow overriding the global settings on a match by match basis.

I like the idea of a hide rating option for myself and my opponent. Could be per game/board or a global option. There's no need to remind me every game that I'm super low-rated.

The main point of hiding rating/avatar is so you don't know the identity (and thus the level) of your opponent. Doing it in game would defeat this purpose.
Focus mode enlarges the board and keeps the rating of your opponent unknown. However, it could further. I wish it would also keep the name of your opponent and his or her Avatar hidden. We all have opponents we lose to constantly. It would be nice not to be at a psychological disadvantage at the start of the game knowing who you are playing. Also, some players deliberately choose Avatars that are provocative or disturbing to look at. Yes, you can ignore it, but human nature being what it is, it will inevitably have an effect on you.
If anyone knows of an interface compatible with chess.com that has these features, please let me know.
