I can't delete bot games.

I no longer have the option to delete the bot games after analysis.   Please bring that back!  And, if you can, make it so you can delete multiple bot games at one time.

I know it's been reported before, so should get fixed at some point.

Thanks, it has only been a couple of days or so that it stopped working for me.

Delete button vanished here too. I play a lot of games against bots to test new moves or learn different positions, and it's not anyone business to know that. Please return with the delete button.

I for one would like to see this fixed. I don't like a lot of practice Bot games clogging up my game history.

Just adding my voice to this request. The OP’s request to be able to delete multiple games is great too. It gets tedious deleting them one-by-one.

Chess.com what was your reason to delete the delete button for bot games? Let the user decide which games he or she wants to have in the games list / history. Bring it back please!!

Pretty sure it being gone is a bug and not removed on purpose.

Same problem. Delete button vanished

It's now 21 days that this problem has been reported. Many of my bot games are just experiments, trying out some stuff, it is intentional trash. So chess.com wants me to look into an ever growing trashcan every day. I have stopped playing bot games on chess.com.

They only save if you run a Game Review. You could always play, copy the PGN into an Analysis Board, then run a review. That won't save to your archive.

It's a good workaround, but this just seems ilogical. Like Freezer said, many players play bot games as an experiment or study and don't really want them in the archive after analyzing.

Martin_Stahl

It's a workaround until the delete option is back.

Thanks for the hint Martin, this indeed works to avoid to make the bot game public. I have also created a 'Trashcan' collection in the archive. I can add un-reviewed games to the Trashcan collection with one click and I can start the review there. This way I don't need to manually copy the PGN. From time to time I select all games in the Trashcan collection and delete all of the games at once. Nit: it doesn't copy player names when a game is added to the archive.

Any chance of getting a definitive answer back from the programming team? Again, while they are at it, it would be nice to delete multiple bot games at one time since my bot games are piling up!

This is actually fixed now.

At one point there was a multi-select delete option but it was removed, with the delete going on the game itself. So, I don't imagine that would come back, since there must have been a reason that option changed.

igordantasbr

It's finally fixed now. Thanks for the support, Martin.

It is still not showing up for me -- I cleared the cache and then even opened it in a different browser -- still no delete icon. Did it get moved somewhere.

kemmrich

The white circle is where the delete icon used to be for me.

No, that's where it shows for me. What browser are you on?
