I have enjoyed using the Practice Opening feature, but it does require you to pick the opening that your opponent will use. I'd like to practice as black from move 1 against 1.d4 without picking a particular opening.
It starts you off as black against 1 e4, but the bot is the default 3200 one. I'd like to have a singe-click URL that starts my practice against a particular bot. Does anyone know if the bot can be specified in the URL? I tried a few possibilities but none worked.
Alternately, or possibly in addition, could you add 1.e4 and 1.d4 as openings that one can practice against? My coach says you need openings as black against 1. e4 and 1.d4, so practicing from there seems like a good idea.
I just played a game and you can play subsequent games by just hitting the Reset Position button - it keeps the bot you had picked. So it's actually not that big a deal - it's still a single click URL to start the session, but you have to pick the bot once....unless you enjoy playing the 3200
Hello,

After some poking around I got this URL to work
https://www.chess.com/practice/custom?color=black&fen=rnbqkbnr/pppppppp/8/8/4P3/8/PPPP1PPP/RNBQKBNR%20b%20KQkq%20-%200%201&is960=false&moveList=
Here's the d4 start URL
https://www.chess.com/practice/custom?color=black&fen=rnbqkbnr/pppppppp/8/8/3P4/8/PPP1PPPP/RNBQKBNR b KQkq - 0 1&is960=false&moveList=
