Java script must die

Without Javascript, most sites wouldn't work. There has to be some client side scripting capability, especially with something like a chess site.

but- minecraft
Java is not the same thing as Javascript, they're completely different.

The problem is javascript is code that downloaded and run on clients machines without client's agreement. No one knows what is in this code. It is similar when we download random code from random places and run it whiteout any checks. It is security problem. What is the problem to run only server side code?
Personally i use NoScript addon to allow javascript to be used by only trusted websites. But not everyone doing it.

You're not going to get an interactive chess site where you can play live games without client side scripting.

Maybe we shouldn't play on website or at least people who don't want to use javascript. Do you have an option to play with a client without the website?

Mobile apps are the only other option.
