Page unresponsive on chrome

I got a bunch of issues with "page unresponsive" on chrome today. Is this happening to anyone else? Are you aware of any issues of the sort?

My browser is Google Chrome Version 100.0.4896.75 (Official Build) (64-bit) on Windows 10.

I'm not seeing any issues in testing a few things on Chrome, same version.

Few issues on the app version today but not chrome. Was it giving you a 520 error?

How do I check that?

Bro I am CONSTANTLY getting these I have to click "Wait" after every other move in BLITZ GAMES. Completely destroys the flow of a match.

Having the same issue. The previous Chrome update about a week ago has ruined my chess.com experience. Since the update, chrome will get so resource-hungry while on Chess.com, it lags to the point I have to restart my browser after about an hour of play. Gaming, endless tabs, etc. does not cause this - only Chess.com. The current update (from yesterday or the day before) has started these "Page unresponsive" pop-ups which is further ruining chess.com. The page is clearly not unresponsive as I'm still able to play after selecting "wait" on the popup.

I'm wondering if you have AdBlock. Something I noticed while typing this - on the lower left hand side of the browser it might say "waiting for *.media.net" - I believe the ads are constantly trying to load and that part of the page is becoming unresponsive - prompting the popup. 

Hi I have disabled Adblock on Chess.com and refreshed the page. The errors and lag have disappeared. Chess.com or the ad company seem to be trying to ruin your experience on the site if you block their ads. Bullying you to purchase platinum I guess. The advertisements change shape and size and it causes the board on Chess.com to resize and get off-set, causing me to mouse-slip twice in the 5 minutes i've had ads unblocked. Further bullying me to get platinum I guess lol

Yes, seems you have solved it. I really don't mind running ads on this website as they're not that invasive. Thanks man.

Do you have ad block?

I still get those even with adblock disabled, really ruins the game for me. heck I got 6 while writing this message

I figured out you can just do "exit" and it won't actually quit the game.

Yeah but you have to press exit every five seconds, which kills if you're playing bullet

I can't use Chrome anymore to do a Blog because the board is now just too big, that's there's no green button to see to load the game.

i was just using that same chrome version (100.0.4896.75), and yeah, i got "pages unresponsive" popups every few seconds while i was playing. but after updating chrome to 100.0.4896.88 i haven't been getting any "page unresponsive" errors in general. so maybe try updating chrome?

I'm getting the same exact issue with Chrome while playing live chess too.

Have you update to the version listed in the post just above yours?

Same here. I'm getting these from yesterday.

Are you in Chrome? Have you updated to the newest version ending in .88 (or higher if it exists)?
