Please fix the issue with repetition

Please make it harder for a game to end by repetition. It is currently way too easy for a long, great game to get aborted because the same pieces repeated moves or even repeated similar moves only a couple/few times. This is common in chess and players often repeat moves a few times to see who will change strategy first. Ending the game when this happens destroys the game. Require the repetition to clearly indicate a stalemate before the game is ended.

While you're at it, maybe change the way the knight moves too. It's a little bit weird to only have one piece that can hop over other pieces. Also, en passant? Seriously? Enough with that silliness already.

Yes, it is common practice, you just have to make sure not to repeat the position a third time. Repetition indicates that the players can't find a way to progress without a creating a weakness, so since no progress is being made, the game is drawn.

In OTB chess it is a claimable draw; if the conditions are met, the player claims the draw and the game ends as such, though an arbiter/TD may have to verify it if there is any disagreement. And after the fifth such repetition, the draw is automatic,.

The site decided to implement the automatic draw instead on the third repetition. I'm not 100% positive why, but in Live it was hard to make the claim in time trouble and a lot of people were asking why it wasn't automatic. It is just easier to do it that way and is still a valid draw by the rule, it just removes the need for the claim.
