Real-time Playback

Hello

Sometimes I would like to check my games in real-time, when I play click it's just automatically second after second. Is there a way to see how it exactly was?

Thanks for your help

Found it! I knew I remembered seeing this before, but couldn't remember how when you asked because I seldom utilize this feature; so I fiddled around with my last game and tried to figure out how to get it to play in real-time.

In the link, they show a picture of the button I remembered seeing, but don't see now. I found it eventually, but it is kind of "sneaky" lol.

First, you have to have the pgn set up WITH timestamps and the "real-time" button only appears AFTER you click "play/pause." I spent a while looking for it, but it only appears after you click this. Hope my explanation makes sense and you can find it now happy.png

Hello! First of all, thank you for your reply! I tried to do exactly what you said but the "real-time playback" button still wouldn't appear! Do you have any idea of why this is happening? I've checked every single option and still can't find it!

I'll try to phrase it another way and break it down into steps for you then:

1. Go into your game "Archive" via the Left Sidebar under "Play"

2. Find your game in the archive and click the two checkmark boxes. The first for which game and the second being the upper-right box for "show move timestamps" (this second step may not be required if you are using a PC)

3. When you click the game do NOT go into analysis right away. Click one of the arrows to go back a move or so and go all the way back to move 1.

4. Now click the "Play/Pause" button (The game will start going with each move played quickly [like half a second per move])

5. Just below the "Play/Pause" button there used to be four icons (download, share, live analysis board and computer analysis). However, now (when the game is playing automatically from hitting "play") it is replaced with a checkbox for "Real-Time Playback"

6. Check that box and enjoy the show happy.png Hope this clarifies it for everyone.

This worked before and everyone found it, but I don't see it now either. Maybe chess.com moved it with an update? Probably still possible but just another way to get it. chess.com should make it easier and just tell us how to do it when they update lol

MagnumCarlsen420

Yeah I used to be able to find it, but I think they removed it.

Magic8Baller

Poke. I would like this feature.

Magnus_Chase19

lol imagine using this with a daily game

Magnus_Chase19

yeah they removed it

CabalGroupie

Lame, I was really hoping to study using this feature :\

Magic8Baller

Poke again. This feature would be great!

Hey Chess.com, still definitely a feature that would be appreciated by the community. Even just a way to include the time stamps in the PGN. @Danny Rensch

You can download the PGN with timestamps.

KeSetoKaiba

no not yet; but I haven't looked into it much - I think some know how, but I don't anymore if possible.
