Not a bug, but a feature. And a feature that I think is unethical as I don't consent and there's no opt-in or opt-out of it.

Yeah, given the OP's profile and description, I'm not surprised they're a bit paranoid about this sort of thing. Good to see that they've left before Chess.com could record their IP address and start secretly watching them through their webcam. Although the OP probably already had a bit of tape stuck over their webcam anyway, just in case.
While it's not obvious to many, the courses people make for private use, once they are deleted, chessable still keeps them in the cloud. They can't be 100% deleted by the user. This is a breach of trust. This is provable if you just use the old url, and you'll see a button called "recover course" where "delete course use to be". So far 4 days has passed, and its still recoverable from my side. Where is the transparency? The user should be told exactly how many days until it's 100% gone for everyone, if ever. I don't trust this kind of website with my hand crafted private lines. I wish you guys had instead competed with chessable, so that there's a better product in the end.
