Yes, it has existed for quite a while, and there is a way to disable it!
- Go to https://www.chess.com/analysis
- Click on the settings gear in the top right corner of the board
- Go to the "Interface" tab in the settings menu
- Toggle off "Show Threats."
I hope this works for you. @EnPassantFork is having the same issue, and he says this setting is off. So this is a bit strange.
When opening the analysis feature on an already posted position the side not to move's threats in the original position are being shown via the use of arrows displayed on the board. These arrows do not go away no matter what moves are played, even sidelines, and even if the original threats no longer exist or are even no longer legal.
I first noticed this about half an hour ago after never encountering it before. Is this a new feature or has it been here a while and I inadvertently enabled it? And is there a way to disable this feature because I find the arrows annoying, especially when no longer relevant?
Thanks!
