Why Can't I View Specific Puzzles?

I am using chess.com as a teaching tool for one of my students. During lessons, I want to go over tactics they got incorrect, but when I go to a puzzle page, I cannot play out the moves or download the PGN file.

For example, going to https://www.chess.com/puzzles/problem/507782

I have no interactive controls with the board or share/download buttons at the bottom. I cannot even see the first move that the opponent makes in every puzzle to solve it for myself.

Am I just missing something or is this not a feature on chess.com? How can I access individual puzzles?

I'm not seeing any issues.

I have this problem too.  Yesterday I was able to replay and download PGN.  Today it's not working.

I just figured it out.  I reached my tactics limit per day based on my membership class.  I upgraded my membership to Platinum to get unlimited tactics (which I wanted to do anyway).  After upgrading I  can see and download problems.

I have this same problem. I have saved the numbers of the problems I want to review. When I bring up the problem, for example, https://www.chess.com/puzzles/problem/40448 the interactive buttons do not work. I cannot move the pieces and I cannot load the PGN into my computer so that I can play against it and study the various lines I may have questions about. Yes, I do have the free membership, but I have not maxed my number of problems per day because this is the only problem I have looked at today. So either there is a glitch in the system that needs to be fixed, or chess.com has reduced my options as a free member, because I used to be able to bring up and play these problems. If I am doing something wrong, can someone tell me what it is? Thank you.

MrProcrastinating

yes please fix, it's driving many people mad

garyrob

Yes please fix!

Kolop97

just came across this issue myself. Couldn't review the puzzle I lost on in my puzzle survival. The other two I missed I can, but the last one just has the yellow "solve puzzles" button. The download and share buttons don't function either.

With a Gold membership you qualify for 25 puzzles a day. I expect you reached your limit.

I have the same problem at this moment using chrome on pc.  Have membership and haven't reached puzzle limit. Actually it's pretty easy to see because if you click on the 'solve puzzle' button (the only one working) it brings you to the regular rated puzzle (i was in puzzle rush) where i can play other puzzles. But it seems to work fine on my phone. Very weird...

exactly the same for me, I have not reached my puzzle limit cuz I can still play puzzles, but I can't interact with the one I missed in rush. This has happened othertimes in the past too and is super annoying

I have the same issue. The bug has existed for awhile and chess com is not fixing it. This is making me question whether its worth paying for a chess com membership. One way around this is to write a HTML to FEN converter that can read the initial board state of the puzzle. Then input the FEN into [another site -- MS] (which is a better site with no bugs) where puzzles can be solved for free

I have the same problem today. SO annoying!

Jaytronzero

Same issue here! Having to manually bring them into an analysis board to try and find the correct answer is super annoying.

Crankeey

Same issues here. But it just started happening a couple of days ago. I'm really hoping this gets fixed soon.

Skinny_Bob

Same problem here and I'm a gold member. It's really frustrating not to be able to see the solutions since many of us are here to learn. I hope chess com fix this issue soon.

I think everyone who has had this issue has been a gold member so maybe that has something to do with it. It's happening to me too

maybe they decided to put a paywall, and keep it only for platinum

Staff are aware of an issue that impacts basic and gold members. One poster in another topic posted it is fixed for them, so it's possible the newer issue may be fixed (which is slightly different cause than those experienced by the initial posts)
