As a learning tool it might be quite good if you could turn on a view to see colour highlighting showing squares attacked by each side's pieces.
I guess it would be too much of cheat in live chess but even if the feature was available during after-match replay and analysis it would be good.
Some times in situations with crowded pawn battles for example it is hard to mentally visualise pathways through the pawns for a king to get involved.
Just something that ocurred to me when watching some educational chess youtubes where the attacked squares are visually highlighted to illustrate vulnerabilities.
