That is actually a really good idea! I'm not sure if there is an option for that, but you should suggest it to the admins. It would help people be a little more comfortable with their play
Hide Elo

You can still use the min-max rating search function doduobird123 the suggestion is to just hiding the rating tag next to their name during the game I presume.

What if you're a 2900 and you don't want to waste your time playing a 600, but you don't know how good he is until after move 3, and by then you couldn't abort the game.
Well I would imagine you could set to in your range, give or take a couple hundred points, then have the hide option on, so you know he's in your range, but you don't know exactly where. But even if you were 2900 and played a 600, I think that would be a good learning experience for the 600 guy lol

Maybe Chess.com can offer therapy to those members having psychological problems with seeing ratings?

Maybe you should volunteer! Chess.com players need your help! On a more serious note, do you feel like you are getting a good value with your membership? I'm on a trial for a few days.

Maybe Chess.com can offer therapy to those members having psychological problems with seeing ratings?
this, it's actually rediculous.

The challenge of Tactics Trainer is a lot of fun for me. I haven't really explored the other benefits like I should since I only get about two good days a week to hang around Chess.com--where I work has been very busy this summer--I will this fall though. But I really like the little tiara next to my name.
Is there a way to hide oponnents elo during a game?
Maybe it would be a good idea to play without knowing opoonents elo, and then later you can see the rating of your oponnent in your archived games.
