Video Search Options

For the diamond members/staff: since Chess.com has over 800 video lessons available, there are a few changes I'd like to see that would help with the navigation of them.

1) Videos in a series should be grouped together for searches.  With certain videos, once you're watching it you can click Next or Part 5, but on many you can't.  It would be great if lessons made into a series of lectures were presented on the search option as a playlist. A designation of the total number of lectures in the series in the title would help too, so that rather than Part 3, you'd see Part 3/6. This would involve title editting after the total number of lectures has been submitted.

2) I'd really like to be able to see which videos I've watched and which I haven't.  A check box would work, as I'm more interested in viewing new (to me) lectures.

3) I love learning lines and then trying them out, like watching vids from Perelsteyn's Scandinavian series, or Pruess's King's Gambit series for example, and then playing games in them.  I think that's a great way to pick new lines up. The way videos are presented in the search results just looks disorganized, as videos are scrambled between different authors based on the date released/#views etc.

4) As related to the beta release, the beta has rendered my browser, IE 8, unable to access Chess.com, as it gives me the problem res://ieframe.dll/acr_error.htm#chess.com,http://www.chess.com/. I've tried a number of fixes,  as I prefer Internet Explorer to my alternate internet browser, Firefox, but none have worked.  (Firefox is laggier during live games, and has the odd bug that often when a piece is moved, it will flash into a random piece before returning to it's original piece.) Any suggestions on a fix would be great.

I support all these ideas. Great suggestions!

I've just become a premium member and I can't even work out how to search for the videos I want!

I searched "Queen's Indian' and it came up with nothing..

but when i searched on youtube I found a great little chess.com starter on the subject...

so it's on here, somewhere. If anyone can give me some tips, would be great.

Yes def agree, could be more user friendly

FM Ingvar Johannesson is missing from the list of authors.  I wonder if any other authors are missing.
