2015 NYC Mayor's Cup Chess Championships

New York City’s top-rated scholastic chess players in grades K-12 will compete in the 2015 NYC Mayor’s Cup Chess Championships on May 2 for a chance to be crowned the “Best in the City.” The tournament, which is officially sanctioned by the US Chess Federation (USCF), is open to all New York City elementary school (grades K–5) students with a USCF rating of 600 or higher and all junior high and high school students (grades 6–12) with a rating of 1,000 or more.  The NYC Mayor’s Cup will take place at PS11 – The William T. Harris School in Mahattan, with the preliminary rounds beginning at 10am and the championship matches starting at 2:15pm. Registration is FREE and the deadline to register is Tuesday, April 28th. There is a limited amount of space in each section and entries will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
