ugh. i'd have to play in the U1700... why not have an U1600 ??
Chicago Open

It is something the CCA has tried the last few years, so that players in the lower half of a rating section can be the higher seed and vice versa. I'd complain about it too (USCF rating 1590) except I want to play tougher competition. I know I'm not ready for U1900 but I can play against 1600-1700 players.

Whats the prize for first place under 1300 ?
I think its $3000 plus you compete for extra prizes if (like me) your rating is under 1100!!!
Wow... I'm tempted to go down to Chicago to compete for that prize.
I'm currently USCF unrated.
I wish I could play in a tournament like that...
Few opportunities in southwestern Oregon, and traveling to Seattle for the tournaments I've heard they have there would be impractical.

just check and my current uscf regular rating is 1341 but it is provsional (only 20 games) and my quik rating is 1244. Check 2 times again today via phone and I am assured of being allowed to play in the U1300 section. So be afraid, be very afraid. I am coming to wreck HAVOC......
I look forward to tearing you to shreds!!!!! LOL
Doc, You are lucky to not be in my section.
