Cystem_Phailure have you ever thought of insulating your pipes ?

kenneth67

wish i could insulate my chess. where's the OP? - hope he hasn't been scared of by all this banter.

Cystem_Phailure

Speaking of banter, right now now my wireless outdoor thermometer is reporting (-25.2) F , or (-31.8) C .  Still 2 hours to sunrise, too.  Northern Minnesota looks like the cold spot for the lower 48 tonight.

Scared? He's probably never been happier to be in Romania! Laughing

Geez, -31 C. How do you live there, lol?

Once or twice every winter we get 0 or -1, If it hits -6 in the Free State it hits the headlines, and if it snows anywhere we close the airports.

Cystem_Phailure

Not much living going on outside today, that's for sure.

The low last night ended up being (-34.6) F , or (-37.0) C .  That's the lowest I've recorded at this location.  Sunset was a few minutes ago, and today's high was (-4) F , or (-20) C .

I spent some time in Prince George, B.C. many years ago and it went down to

-49°C, i am sure it was Celsius. You just stay indoors and play chess.

That just sounds brutal to me.

kco

kco

I think you are in the wrong hemisphere.

DrSpudnik

I'm usually just in the wrong lobe.

rooperi

You're lucky, I only have one lobe.

Cystem_Phailure

Are we talking ear lobes or brain lobes?

Sorry, my mistake. I have 2.

DrSpudnik

Some days I feel like walking around with a little "Out Of Order" sign hanging from one ear. Laughing

Good, i was a bit worried there as i would have had to admit to losing a chess game to a "one-lobed homo sapien" - not good for my CV.Smile (there was a documentary on a guy who actually had half his head missing and still functioned well - didn't look very pleasant though... wonder what his chess was like - probably some kind of prodigy).

But what if rooperi means he has two lobes total?  We don't know how they are apportioned between ears and brain, so you might still have lost to a one-lober in the brain department.

kenneth67

judging by the inherent and intrinsic beauty of his avatar, you may well have a point, Cystem... (the head portion is out of shot, leaving us to speculate)Laughing
