Ok, I play fast, and I'm in a tournament.

One of the players has 4 completed games, 2 against me, and 2 against the top ranked in the group, winning one and losing one against each of us.

But now, all his other games have timed out, and the rest of the field get

full 2 points against him. Doesn't this put me and the top ranked guy at a disadvantage?

You are indeed at a full one point disadvantage, however one cannot plan for these things i.e. "Someone may time out, so I'll play really slowly" is nonsense if you are a fast player. Most of us come to this place to play chess and that's what you have done, best just to bear up and carry on. I don't think a solution exists to the guy who times his games out.

I don't like guitardog, but that aside, same thing has happened to me too. It sucks. I asked TD about this and nothing has been done. It is just unfair.

i once finished an online chess game within half an hour, though my opponent took much time for each move, i did'nt.. he was much lower rated, so, i took him for granyed, & i was punished...

It's perfectly fair. If you finish games soon, then there is hardly anyone to blame..just a bit of a shame.
