i learned to play chess (i.e. how pieces move) when I was 9 or 10. hated the game then.
Tried playing when I was 16 and the game left me indifferent.
Tried it again at 25 and just loved it. So I played a lot for several years.
Then family, kids, now my kid is playing, so I am trying to get back into the game and remain a challenge to him for as long as I can.
