GM Magnus Carlsen is about to play the biggest chess game of his life. Not the most important, but the most opponents he's ever faced at once: it's Magnus Carlsen Vs. The World. The event begins on Friday, April 4, when Magnus makes his first move.

As with last year's Vishy Vs. The World match, we have identified four five coaches to help the world team try and pull off the big upset. This time, our coaches will provide regular analysis and guidance to the world team, in a style more akin to the 1999 Kasparov vs. the World match.

Today, we are excited to announce the World's coaches against Magnus:

Want to get to know them all of these masters little better? Then read on—but first, register to play in the game!
