GM Bibisara Assaubayeva is a Kazakhstani chess grandmaster and back-to-back Women's Blitz Champion. One of the most promising young female players in chess, Assaubayeva became an international master in 2020. In 2021 and 2022, she won consecutive Women's World Blitz Championships. She scored a commanding 14/17 to clinch the 2021 tournament with a round to spare, followed by a 13/17 to win the 2022 tournament in her home country.
At the 2025 Sharjah Masters, Assaubayeva won her third and final grandmaster norm to become the 43rd woman to ever earn the grandmaster title, and the second from Kazakhstan. Her title was confirmed on July 18.
