David Pruess is an American international master, coach, and streamer. Pruess earned his FIDE master title in 2002 and became an IM in 2006, reaching his peak FIDE rating of 2438 two years later.

Pruess has created many videos for Chess.com and has commentated on numerous events. He is also a regular content creator for ChessKid.com, the scholastic branch of Chess.com. Pruess also helps run the Twitch channel ChessDojoLive with IM Kostya Kavutskiy. Their channel has surpassed 14,000 followers (as of July 2021).
