Bio

Olga Rubtsova was a Soviet international master and woman grandmaster and the fourth Women's World Champion. Rubtsova was also the Soviet Women's champion four times, winning in 1927, 1931, 1937, and 1948. She was part of the Soviet team that won the gold medal in the first Women's Chess Olympiad in 1957. Rubtsova also won the title of World Correspondence Chess Champion in 1972.
