Andy Argyle was a friend to many here on Chess.com, and very active SA of Team England until succumbing to cancer in the new year of 2014, aged 52.
This tournament in his honour will begin on his birthday, the 18th of July.
This is "Group B", because the original tournament, now renamed "Andy Argyle Memorial - Group A" filled up its registration entirely in ten hours, and Chess.com's maximum capacity in user-created tournaments is 100 players.
Andy being much loved, there have been messages from a number of people expressing sadness that they weren't able to register quickly enough for the first one.
