Please read the description!

• Rating range 1200-1600
• All time high must be < 1700
• You will play up to 10 games at a time in this event.
• Vacation time is not allowed.

This tournament is designed to create a good competition in the mentioned rating range. The main idea is to have an event where you are as long as possible still in the race for the top 3 spots.

This is why we have a group of max. 6 players,  and a narrow range in rating.

If you like to show your best against an equal, balanced field and have tough and close matches, this is the place to be!

In the same spirit players have to have at least 100 finished games, so their current rating reflects their ability well.

I want to keep away players who try to manipulate the rating down, so they can play in limited events.

For this reason I will remove players from the registration list if their all time high exceeds 1700 or for any other reason when I think a player is too strong for this event.

I like the musician and artist David Bowie, so in his memory I named the tournament after him. What a creative genius!
Hope you like his songs too, but it is not a requirement to participate!
