This is a "No Vacation" tournament!
It's time to pay some respect to Africa... The March GeoChess, Rook Edition is for players with ratings less than 1400. In this month's edition, there is a 50% advance rate with medium-sized groups (4(2)->2) and so you'll play six simultaneous games per round. Only players with more than 75 games, less than an average move time, and less than a 2% time-out rate may join. Please note that there is no vacation time. Since this has come up, I'll boot players with ratings above 1400 the day or so before the tournament starts to try to get clean numbers for the groups (chess.com automatically boots players with ratings that are too high before the tournament starts anyway).
There is a new GeoChess tournament dedicated to a different country every month on the 15th. I may pick the countries of the winners of past tournaments for a few of the themes, once those start wrapping up.
This tournament will not start until March 15th, 2019. The tournament does not auto-start if it fills before then (so that players can plan on a starting date). I may delay it one or two days following the 15th if it needs to fill.

Dear Players:
The 15th is upon us - the tournament will start as soon as it's full. I've changed the upper rating limit to 1401 to allow one or two players right on the boundary to stay in.

Tournament is Full - Mind your Ratings
Dear Players:
We have a full tournament well ahead of time this month, and so I'll start booting players who fall outside of the ratings range in a couple of days. Please leave the tournament yourself and join the parallel tournament for players with ratings higher than 1400 if your rating has gone above 1400 (https://www.chess.com/tournament/geochess-2019-march-nigeria). If I boot you, you cannot rejoin the tournament, but you can rejoin if you leave yourself.
As noted in the description, the tournament does not start until March 15th, but we should have a completely full tournament when the date arrives!
