Welcome to World Championship Circuit (Daily). WCC World Cup is the first tournament of the World Championship Circuit with 32 players playing knockout tournament to win the World Cup and qualify for the Candidates tournament to become the World Champion. Winner and runner up of this tournament will qualify for the Candidates.
Below is the schedule for World Championship Circuit (Daily):
WCC World Cup (June 2023) - 32 Players Knockout tournament : Top two players qualify for the Candidates
WCC Grand Swiss Tournament (July 2023) - 20 Players Swiss tournament : Top two players qualify for the Candidates
WCC Amateur Challenger (September 2023) - 12 Amateur Players (rating range 800-1800) tournament : Winner qualifies for the Candidates
WCC Grand Prix (October 2023-December 2023) - A series of 3 tournaments consisting 16 players in each tournament : Top 2 Player with most points in all 3 tournaments combined will qualify for the Candidates
In case of an already qualified player qualifying again through the next tournament, the next ranked player in the tournament will qualify for the Candidates
WCC Candidates Tournament (January - February 2024) - 8 Players will play Swiss tournament. 7 players qualify through different tournaments mentioned above. One spot is reserved for last year's WCC World Championship runner up : Top 2 players qualify for the World Championship final
WCC World Championship (February - March 2024) - Top 2 candidates will play Swiss tournament with current world champion : Winner of the tournament becomes the WCC World Champion
